I recently went to lunch with some colleagues from the mid-west. They were discussing the restaurant and meal they had the previous night, and noted that when they ordered a red beer, the server did not know what it was. I was also not familiar with red beer, and occasionally ask locals if they are familiar with red beer. Red beer is not common here in New England, but apparently is fairly common in the mid-west.
What is a Red Beer?
The recipe is simple. A beer with about a shot of tomato juice (or Bloody Mary mix) added to it.
Evaluation
It’s an interesting combination that works. If you like tomato juice, it is worth trying out.
